What is it that makes your heart ache so? How do you account for it? How can a heart be so happy one day and not so happy the next? What cruel joke do you play on yourself? You are the whole story. Your story, no matter how it may seem, is dependent upon you and no other. You can only become disillusioned by illusions you carry. Who chooses to illusion yourself if not you? Do you really need illusions so wholeheartedly?

By and large, your illusions boil down to that you are dependent upon something other than yourself for your share of happiness or, by the same token, the obliteration of your designated happiness. You perhaps carry illusion in order to become disillusioned of it. That you are dependent upon others for your well-being is an illusion that will fall by the wayside. It has to because it is an illusion. It is an illusion by the very fact that it lacks truth. It is not Truth that disillusions you. You can not be disillusioned of Truth. You can only be disillusioned of illusion.

Of course, you can make yourself dependent upon others, yet the life of your heart does not depend upon others. It depends upon you. You make yourself happy or unhappy. Be not unhappy because untruth fades away. You have long learned that because you want something a certain way does not make it so. The world as you know it does not always yield you your dreams, or, if it does, it doesn’t always let you keep them.

What this means is that you are the captain of your own ship. This is the inevitability of life in the world. You are your own consort. Perceived otherness in the world does not always bring you your cup of tea, that which you like to perceive as your cup of tea and which may not be. You may be finished with that cup of tea.

You may believe that your happiness is dependent upon this or that, and yet your happiness is dependent upon you. You are responsible for your state of happiness. No one else is. You made your decisions. You are the one who decided that your happiness depended upon something that it does not.

No one outside you is capable of being responsible for your happiness. This is a Grand Illusion. It may seem so, and yet it is not so.

This is a good thing. You don’t really want your happiness to be dependent upon what wafts in or out of your life.

Come, establish yourself in Being.

Life is you and I as One. You are sufficient unto yourself.

You can bend down and smell the sweetness of an iris. So sweet. You can even pick the iris and put it in water in a vase on your mantel. You can love it. You can adore it. You can love it all you want. Nevertheless, the sweetness of the beautiful iris is here today and gone tomorrow. It gives you its essence while it can, and then it can’t any longer. The iris did not let you down. You know better than to assume that your happiness is dependent upon how long the iris offers itself to you in its splendid moments of full beauty. You aren’t despondent because an iris gives you all it can while it can. You are glad for its gifts. You know better than to blame a beautiful iris later for not sustaining your happiness. You never told yourself it could.

You may come to a crossroad where you decide that life, so to speak, is not going to interfere with your life.

Life is not a gauntlet you are running, yet some days you feel pelted with snowballs or hail. You keep going, and you let hail fall where it may. The weather is not a deterrent to you. You keep walking. You are like the mailman, and neither rain nor sleet nor snow stops you from delivering the mail. The mailman also picks up letters that people want him to mail for them. So in life, you deliver messages, and you also pick up messages from the assorted mail that is known as life.

In life, you may pick up and deliver messages that seem random, or may seem serious, and they are, after all, only messages. Not all messages from life merit great thought. Some mail is casual, even tossed aside or out. And some are bills you pay. And some are love letters and some messages you can’t figure out why they were sent and why they were addressed to you. What can you do but sort the mail as best you can, and then get up and keep going.

In any case, mail comes when it comes, and if your name is on it, your name is on it. You don’t have to let packages fall on your head. Mail, like inclement weather, is not supposed to knock a good man down nor is it to keep him down. Packages do not have to batter your heart any more than the rain, sleet, and snow. They are part of life, and yet, at the same time, they are incidental to life. We can say you weather them, or We can say you come out the other end of the rainbow.

You walk through certain terrain, and never can you stay there. At some point, you do have to get up and go on your way. The mail that comes, comes, and you survive it. As unwilling as you may be to admit, because of the assorted mail, you have gained. You have grown. You can be wiser without being sadder. No one said you had to be sadder. It is not a requirement. Suffering may be an elective you have chosen.

It has been said that life is a school. Let’s just say for the moment that life is a school. The point is you are going to graduate. So then what is all the fuss about? You are going to get through this school you matriculate in. You may not choose all the courses you will take. Nevertheless, you are going to demonstrate great scholarship. You already have. So you have a few scars. What is that? You are a survivor of life. You may even walk out a hero. And why not?

Everyone alive on Earth is brave. It is brave to venture forth on a journey that no one has even been on before. There never was a journey like yours, and there never was anyone just like you, never ever. Even though all are One and are on the same adventure, no one has traveled the exact route as you. No one is dropping off and picking up the exact same mail as you.

As best you can, make others’ journeys a little easier. Take some of the debris out of the way. Shelter others when you can. Smooth the road a little. Make it as nice for others as you possibly can. That may well be your path in life, sweeping the path before others. In so doing, your own journey is more gentle. As much as you can, think of others and let them know that you are, indeed, thinking of them. All the people in your life want you to be thinking of them.

In one sense, you begin every day as if you were a stranger to life, and you take every passing event or word as monumental, as if you were stunned at what appears, as if you have no inkling, no experience in life and its myriad offerings, as if this were the first time you ever had experienced a fall in the stock market.

I use the term stock market as a metaphor, beloveds. One little drop in one area, and you feel doom, as if you had never met life in the relative world before, as if you were new to it, as if an axe has fallen, as if it cut off your very connection to life, as if you were devastated by one little branch. All that happened is that, in your walk through the woods of life, a branch simply snapped as you were passing through. Innocent is the branch, and innocent are you. And yet you make a big thing of it. Time and time again, you make a big thing of what life displays. You take it personally. Every snap of a branch knocks you to your knees, and you evaluate yourself as wanting. There must be some fault of yours here, at the very least in your understanding.

Somewhere you have the idea that you are supposed to understand everything, as if every branch that snaps had your name on it. The woods is the woods is the woods. A branch is a branch. Branches snap. You do not have to be stricken. Branches snapping is an everyday occurrence in the woods. You can be a little more casual about this. When you walk through the woods, events may surprise you, but they do not diminish you. Events of themselves are nothing. They just are what they are. They have surprisingly little to do with you, and yet you tend to take the whole brunt on yourself.

Every misstep in the woods is not on your head. Every pitfall is merely a pitfall. It is not a trap set. There is no villain rubbing his hands and jumping in delight at your upset. Perhaps you can be a little more academic of what befalls in life. Just as you do not have to admire your reflection in the water of the lake, you do not have to berate yourself when the eddies seem to change your view of yourself and darken it. Do not berate yourself, and do not think that life is berating you. There is a certain meeting in the woods, no more, no less.

What occurs may seem like everything to you, but need it be? What exactly does your life depend on? Everyone’s good graces? Who is disappointed in you more than you are in yourself? It is your own disappointment that you cannot bear. No one disillusioned you. You disillusioned yourself. You tear yourself apart. For what reason would you do that?

I do not do that. I put you together in the first place. I would never tear you apart. I would not put asunder that which I have created. And so you take everything too seriously, and you take yourself too seriously. Take My love seriously instead.

I did not just set you on Earth and dissolve all connection with you. We are as much connected as ever whatever befalls. In terms of Our Oneness, nothing has befallen. Life on Earth does not come between Us. Nothing interferes with Our Oneness, not even you. Whatever you are going through, it is only something you are going through. You will get through it. And, at some point, you will even begin to see that there was nothing you had to get through. It was all mutterings on your walk through the apparent woods.

Today is a conjunction of your life. Today is where your whole life is pinned together off to one side. All the corners of your life are gathered together the way the hem of a fancy ball gown might be pinned with flowers. The past is gathered, pulled to one side, and now there is a whole new start to today, you, and your life.

The past is gathered together in one piece so it is out of the way. You don’t have to step around it nor do you have to start where you left off. You can start anywhere. The past is not about you unless you insist it is. This is a new slate before you now. No matter what labels have been stuck to you, today you have a new start. Today is a whole new day. In this sense, you can undo the past. You can make today anything you want, for the truth is, whatever build-up from the past you have accrued, you can drop it now.

Today you have a new start, and I suggest you start anew. Whatever thoughts you have had about yourself, start over. A new beginning. No matter how wonderful the credits of the past may have been, today you are starting a new journey to the New World of Space and Time.

The Old Book has closed, and today a New Page is open before you. All the past has drifted off somewhere, filed away, and yet not kept. You are free today to be as you want to be. If your life has been beautiful, today your life is yours to make more beautiful. If the past has not been glorious, today is perfectly willing for you to make it glorious. Today is innocent, as innocent as you, beloveds.

If you have limped through life, today you can dance. If you have sung sad songs, today you can sing a happy song. And why not? Why stick with the same old songs? If today is a new day, why not a new song? You can make it up as you go along.

Do not feel you will lose your place in life by doing new things today in a new way, or even doing old things today in a new way. You can take the same bus or take a new bus or walk or skip or simply be a new you on the same bus.

Why not surprise yourself and others by enjoying today? Why would you prevent yourself from having great joy today? You were meant for joy, so why not have it and give it and have it and give it again and again today?

Do you really think that I keep an old book of records and look you up on it? Do you really think that I keep an accounting of all your thoughts and acts, a list of merits and demerits? I do not. I am not a bookkeeper. I am a Lover. Love keeps no records. Why would I? Why would I call you to task? Why would I go there? I am not like an accountant. I am God ever as I have always been. I am not caught up in the past.

How could I tell you to let go of the past unless I Myself let go of the past? It isn’t even that I let go of the past. It was never My idea to keep it. It is not My style. I keep My heart and My vision. I never lose sight of them. What is the past to Me? Where I live, there is no time. Where in Eternity and Infinity can the past be kept? Past-keeping is an activity of the world. Why oh why would I even consider hanging on to the past even if I could? Of what use is the past to man or God?

Even a little bit of sun is sun. Even a little bit of joy is joy. You are fortunate to be awake this morning. It is good fortune to be alive. Have you sometimes forgotten that? Awake! Arise! Pull up the blinds. A new day is dawning, and you are alive in it. If you are alive, you are meant to be alive. Be glad for life. And when the time comes, be glad for death. Life of the body, death of the body, each in its own time. But life itself is beyond the limits of time and of space, for life itself is beautifully eternal. There is no interruption to life.

Life strolls down 5th Avenue. Life is an Easter Parade. Later on the body gets off the trolley. The life of the party continues with Me. We stroll through the street-less Heaven, yet Heaven has its walking lanes, or We can say flying lanes, so engaging, so expanding, so limitless is Heaven. Even in life, you and I are walking through the hills and dales of Heaven. It is so natural.

Your body does not have to die in order for you to know Heaven. Heaven is an intimate part of you right now. It is the most intimate part of you, the Heaven part where you do somersaults, for you are as light as air, and you alight in Heaven and you kick off from Heaven. From Heaven you start. From Heaven, every day you start. And every day you do not leave. You are integral to Heaven. It ever was so.

On Earth, you are not so sure what you are doing here. In Heaven, you know what you are doing and why and when and all the ins and outs. It is a breeze, life in Heaven. Regardless of the clamor on Earth and your participation in it, you are nonetheless in Heaven and sure of yourself.

Your jaunt on Earth is a sideline. It is in parentheses. The mainstream of your life is in Heaven. You ride on the Milky Way, as it were, more than you do on the bus. Heaven is the real Grand Central Station. Heaven is truly where the action is, or non-action is. On Earth, you drift off to sleep. You doze and dream a dream of what is called real life.

Ah, but We know where Real Life is and what takes place which does not really take place nor does it take time. We are in a timeless placeless place. We are immersed in a heart of gold. We fly, We swim, and yet We are anchored in Heaven. Heaven is not really a Vacation Home. It is Our True Home. The hearth is love, and in love We are, and in love We stay and never leave. Inundated with love, We fly, and We fly nowhere, and yet We soar everywhere. Love soars. There is nothing else.

We meander, yet there is no meandering. We never miss the target. We always hit the bull’s eye. It is natural. There is nothing to overcome, and so We succumb to all the love in Heaven. We build castles with all this vast love. We build the many mansions in Heaven. We are so in love that We don’t know where love begins and ends, and, of course, it neither begins nor ends, for love is a constant. We don’t even identify love because there is nothing to differentiate from it, and so We are wave after wave of love, love furling and unfurling itself a little bit like poetry or a windfall or blessed breeze which ushers itself to and fro.

What do you care so much what other people think? Care about what you think.

Are other people supposed to tame you? Are they supposed to shape you into something you are not? Just exactly what is wrong with your thinking as you think, feeling as you feel, seeing as you see, being as you are? Why do you so often look to a higher authority?

You can understand yourself more by bouncing off other people, yet other people are not the standard for you to go by nor do other people have dominion over you. What makes you think others know more than you to the extent that you give them authority for your decision-making? What makes you think so many have authority over you?

You know I do not mean to say that you always know best, for We both know by now that you don’t. You have held on to ideas of yours for no reason but that they are yours and you hold them sacrosanct as if they were your vital organs and you couldn’t live without them. There are many ideas you would have done well to throw away long ago that you are still holding onto, yet when it comes to some areas, you give yourself over to others or any one at all, as if they have a power over you that you do not. In certain areas, you consult with friends or magazines or television before you listen to yourself.

You give yourself away. Beloveds, in some cases, you might just as well toss a coin as you in some cases listen to those you listen to, and then there are those people you just about never listen to. Are you aware of this? Be a little wary of those who always seem to agree with you. Do not be so quick to listen to them. They may not further your understanding.

There is a tendency in some countries to disregard what your parents say. Wherever you live, whatever your culture, I suggest you listen to your parents. Listening doesn’t mean obeying. It means listening with the possibility in mind that you are being offered gold. What if your mother and father could be right and you and everyone else you know are mistaken?

Whatever your age, start to listen to what others say without adamantly rejecting what is said in certain quarters or adamantly accepting what is said in certain quarters. This is perhaps a new slant for you, to consider what is being said rather than your regard for the person who is saying it.

You can think in more than one way. You can change direction. Odds are you will do well to sort through your old thinking. Listening is a way to do this.

If I say it, you can believe it. You can believe it across the board.

Even in a fortune cookie, you may receive good advice although you laugh at it in the moment.

Even on a billboard, you could see a slogan that opens a new vein of thinking for you.

Surely you are not to keep on thinking as you always have. Surely you are not to adapt to everyone else’s way of thinking either. Surely you are the decider. Consider that you may know what you are doing, and consider that you may not. Going by what you feel is not always the same as going by your heart. Sometimes you are going by ego rather than your heart, for sometimes ego seems virtuous to you. Of course, you do not always go by ego; nevertheless, you can go by ego less.

All that you experience on Earth is mere experience. And you are the one who experiences. You are the experiencer. You are the interpreter of what you experience. Life on Earth is an experience. It seems like reality, yet experience is like a song being played, a tune hummed, a note written, a note being opened, a note read, a note folded in your hand, or dropped from your hand. Life is a commingling of people leaving notes or picking them up and messages garbled or clear, heavy or light, some in code, some indecipherable, all impinging on the whole Universe as if life were an adornment or a trail left in the sand.
 
All experience is the same, and yet no two experiences are alike. Everyone reads a different novel, leaves it open at a different page, skips some pages, rereads others, puts the book down, picks it up, opens it, turns to another page, closes it, reads it in the dark, hides it under the bed.
 
Such a hullabaloo is made of this incidental life. Your life on Earth is like a bobbin that bobs along contributing to stitches sewn on invisible cloth. The thread is never cut. Your fingers retrace the threads, and the seams your fingers trace are called your life. Stitches are not dropped, however, for stitches continue on the same piece of cloth or another joined at the hip. Temporary garments have been woven in many hues, and there is a hue and cry. Garments fade, but the continuance of life enters other streams and then comes up to the surface again like a leaping fish.
 
A life lived, a life remembered, a life dreamed, a life sought, a life run away from, all the combinations, all the thoughts are life, life serene, or life on a rampage, life hurried, life slow, life trammeled, life untrammeled, life on a march, life at rest, life toggling along its own path leading to where you began. There is no leaving off life. Life follows you and engages you, whirls you in a whirlwind, or lets you tan on the beach.
 
How powerful is this life you lead wherever you think you lead it. You can’t put life in place. You can’t anchor it. You can only follow it or drift along with it or ride on it or swim under it, and yet you and your life engage, and so the tale is spun, and it is a tale never told before and yet it is not new. It is a spectacle like a new movie of epic proportions, and yet it is a twice-told tale, or one told every day and every night without cease.
 
Life in the world is not one way. It is many ways. There are many ways to take it. You can’t leave it. You are on the ride of your lifetime, and there is no getting off, and there is no end to it. It is like the Old Man River that just keeps rolling along. Life takes you with it, or you take it with you.
 
All life is the hope of the future, and the future is known, and the past is not, for the past escapes and bears no scrutiny. The past is a fragment. The future is now, and you are like Joan of Arc carrying not a sword but a light to vanquish misrepresentations of the world, to brighten the world, to lift the world off its feet, to raise the world high, to make the world a troubadour announcing that Heaven has come, and now the music can begin.

Your shining heart lights the Earth much like the sun. Your heart is a spinning round of love, a spinning centrifugal force of love. Rich ripe grapes from your heart are plucked and thrown across the Universe, and the grapes of love soar. The grapes are much sought after.

From where grapes come, the swallowers may not know, yet they eat the grapes and are nourished just the same.

You toss love from your heart, and the love you toss lands you know not where, and, yet, because of your anonymous love, there is no famine on the land.

Love is the necessary ingredient in everything. Without the essential ingredient of love, not one thing would grow or move or even stay still. Not even one weed would grow without love.

You may say you do not love weeds, and that they grow without your love. Listen, love is as much the life force of weeds as love is the life force of roses, just as much as love is the life force that you are. Love cognized you and every living thing on the planet, and everything on the planet is a living spinning thing. There is no inanimate. There is only love alive.

Even a stone is not a dead weight. It spins. It spins in joy. It heaves itself, a living breathing thing. It is the stuff that mountains are made of. The minerals hold your foot as you climb and boost you and hold you firm and salute your climb.

Love creates more love. There is no end to love, and, therefore, there is no end to life. It is said that life forms are converted and changed. No matter the details, the point is that love and life continue, and there is not one without the other.

There is an internal field of love and an outcropping. There is an eternal field of love on which the winds, which are themselves love, blow the leaves of love and spread them further.

There is a conspiracy of love on Earth, and you are part of it. We could say that love is a shape-shifter, or that you are love in many guises, and yet the eternal nature of love does not change, nor can love be kept locked up somewhere. Love will out. Love created the world, and love is taking over the world. You are overtaking love. You are admitting to your role in the world and putting on your cap or your beret.

You are unrolling a huge canvas, and you paint a picture of the world on it. You are the canvas. You are the painter. And you are the picture of the world that you paint. You paint with love. You are the love that paints.

You play so many roles, you slip in and out of them, and you don’t always know when you are playing or when you are not, when you are on land or sea, when you are yourself or someone else, or whether you are here at all, or where you have been, and what you were doing, or where you are now, and whom you have been with. You may be a game-maker, a costumer for love, a magician, a disappearing act, a troubleshooter or troublemaker.

You do not know if you are at all, for you and I are merged and cannot be pulled apart to be examined. We, the One of Us, cannot be taken apart to be dissected and identified. We, the One of Us, no longer distract Our One Self from the business of love We are about. We are Love, One Wholeness of Love Forevermore.

When will you recognize that I, God, love you and love you with all the love in My heart, and My heart is great, and so then, right now, know that you have all the love in the world of Mine right in your heart.

As it is, you crave more, or proof of more, or a huge daily shipment of more world love, as if you have never known love, as if My love has to be substantiated by evidence of love in the world. You gobble love up as if you have been starving all your life, for you are insatiable for love. You are at a great feast and have always been at this table, and, yet you feel starved, as if only love from another table can satisfy you, even though, time and time again, another does not.

You have been eating a feast of love, and still you lick up the crumbs from the table, sometimes any table, as if you had never known love your whole life, as if you were an orphan of love, as if you were not a child of God, or, as if you had been left in a closet forgotten somewhere and not been given love.

What am I to do with you?

What can I do but send you more love?

Yet, how do I shake you from your entrenched belief that you are not loved, not even loved by the Greatest Giver of Love in the World Who loves all. No matter that I am the One Who enters all hearts, fills them up, and leaves an Eternal Flame, you may not feel aware of Our Great Love, and, if you are aware, it still does not seem like enough.

I understand your hunger for love in the world. I understand how you may forage for love. I understand how sometimes, you are impelled to accept any show of love, even when it isn’t love and even when you know it isn’t. You may hold yourself in the thrall of love for the sake of a mask of love.

You may give away your birthright of entitlement to My love. You cannot give away your inheritance, you understand, yet you may give away your right to it. You may deny your worthiness.

And, so, you may throw yourself away on what may be token love or not love at all. You may accept tin instead of gold. You may see yourself as so starving for world love that you will pick up litter from the street and call it love when it is only litter. You take a few scraps of what is not love so that, for a few moments, you can close your eyes and feel you are in a play of love. You will give yourself for a few kind words, an apple there, a pear there, a glance into someone’s eyes, all so that you can have some trimmings of love for a while.

Meanwhile, you have the King’s love, and you rummage in the streets for handouts.

The world of itself does not always reveal its love. Even if My love did not exist, it is not true that any love is better than no love. Remember My love. My love is true.

I would wish that you would have all the love in the world as you do have all of My love. I do not ask you to have My love alone and give up world love. I am saying that you who are gold are not dross.

My love is rightfully yours. It has always been yours. My love has your name written all over it. It is signed and sealed yours. My love is the pot of gold that you are to reach into.

You are already gilded with the gold of My love. Do not be so dazzled. This is the natural way of things. Who would have My love if not you? I know My children as One.

My love cannot be hoarded. It can only be shared. You have love to give. You have love to give because I have heaped love upon you. My love cannot spoil you. It can only heighten you. If you feel that you have been denied My love, then you have denied it. If you feel that you have been deprived of My love, it is you who has deprived yourself of it. Perhaps you have put My love aside, or not looked at it lest My love be too much for you and you would disintegrate. Disintegrate in My love? You will not disintegrate in My love. You will integrate. You will not be lost in My love. That’s where you will be found. You will be found in the depths of My heart for all the world to see.

Dig deep into My heart. Know My love, and then you will gloriously share it. You will know abundance, and Our combined abundance will spill over into all the hearts in the world. Lonely, or in a crowd, My love in you will flow out like love without borders, like rivers without dams, like a faucet that will not turn off. You will have drunk from the well. Once filled, you can only splash My love everywhere. My heart runneth over, and so does yours.

There is no end to My love. You do not lose My love by sharing it. You multiply it. My love is not to be kept in reserve. My love is going to explode on Earth, and you are going to light the match to it. Because of you, the world is going to be inundated in My love. Because of you, there will be a steady flow of love such that the extant world has not seen. That this steady stream of love has not been seen doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been flowing. It hasn’t been seen because you closed your eyes to it or because you blocked the flow of love from your heart as if with a clothespin. If you have not rolled around in My love, perhaps you glued the valves of My love in your heart shut for fear that you would be uprooted.

Yes, you would be uprooted. Do you possibly think that you can feel all the love in My heart and stay the same? You will burst out of your skin. You cannot possibly stay the same when it is My love full steam ahead.

When you let loose My love in your heart, you will release an entourage of love on Earth. A volcano of love, a typhoon, an earthquake of love that will moisten the Earth and no dry heart will ever be again. Dryness of heart will be unheard of. It will not be remembered. Only fullness of love will be remembered. Only fullness of love will be known. There will be a rise of love on Earth and no lessening of it. Love will be in bloom, and illusion of anything else will fall away.

Seek and ye shall find.

Look for persecution, and you shall find it wherever you look. You may see little else.

Look for beauty, and you will see it wherever you look. There will be little else to see.

You are surrounded by whatever angle of the kaleidoscope you turn. The view is the viewer’s. You can convince yourself of anything. You can give tribute to anything.

There is exquisite beauty and bravery. They exist. There is ugliness and cowardice. There is sidewalk under your feet, and there is sky above. What are you looking at, and what do you make indelible? Where are you looking from, and what are you looking for?

A baby gives happiness. A baby also requires attention. Life itself requires attention, and yet where does your attention go? Shuffle your feet and glower, or have a spring in your step and smile. What role do you play today? Which turn of the kaleidoscope do you whirl today?

You turn the wheel of your life. You are the camera man. You take the pictures. You use a zoom lens or a telescopic lens. You take the same pictures again and again.

Even in the Garden of Eden, you had choices, and you made them. Your choices count.

When you go to a restaurant, you choose that on the menu you wish to eat. You cannot choose everything on the menu. You make choices. You choose what you prefer. You don’t order what you don’t like so you can complain. You order something you like.

The grisly side of relative life exists. It doesn’t require magnification. You don’t have to emphasize it.

Even weeds serve a purpose. You can love the existence of weeds even as you pull them. You can love the rain and the shine. If you don’t like the rain, you can stay out of it. What is so hard about that?

You can be the lucky penny that finds itself.

You can be the magic wand that waves itself around and discovers treasure. Surely you would not look for woe with your wand. Of course, you can if you choose. You have. Now look in the direction of the sun, and know that the light before you is good, is as good as rain.

Seek good fortune by the bushel.

You can look for clues in the right places.

Sherlock Holmes sought crimes in order to solve them. He found the crimes, and he found the culprits.

Be you a detective of love and beauty. You can find whatever you look for. I do not say that you will find only what you look for, but the bulk of what you look for will be the bulk of what you find.

You cannot focus on trouble and be happy. You do not have to be blind, nor do you need to be triumphant when you find irregularities in life. Aha, here is a weed. Aha, here is insolence. Aha, here is what should not be allowed .

Seek beauty, and you shall discover it. You do not have to seek the dowdy. Let it exist, yet you are a hunter and discoverer of beauty and love. Use your magnifying glass on that which you want more of.

There has been enough trouble in the world. Trouble has already been proved. You do not need more proof of it. Then, why would you look for more evidence of trouble? Why would you pounce on it? Why would you report it and make headlines of it and say, “Tut, tut?”

Look out your window and see red cardinals.

Seek the beauty of yourself, and emblazon your beauty on every forehead and every heart. You are the light of the world.

I am what you have been seeking. Whatever you have been seeking, I am the Sought. You may seek a new car, a new beau, yet what you are really seeking is I. Make no bones about it. I am the God within you, and it is yourself that you seek. The objects you list one after the other, even when you possess them, they elude you. They are strictly outside you.

There is One you seek, and that is I, and that is you. We say I and you, you and I. These are words We communicate in. There is a deeper level of communication in which Oneness is established, and there is nothing but God in all the world and in all of Heaven. One Sun radiates. Many rays fall to the Earth, and each ray is a ray of the Sun. The Sun shines itself for the joy of it just the way you splash in water for the joy of it. The fractional rays of the Sun may see themselves as only rays of the Sun. The Sun is many-rayed, and yet there is One Sun that shines. The reflection of the Sun is, nevertheless, Sun.

That you are in physical form is only an illusion. The illusion is that Oneness is sectioned off, and the illusion becomes more vital than the Oneness. Multiple Oneness is not more. It is great, but it is not greater. Oneness is greater, and Oneness IS. I AM. You ARE. And We are merged, and so there is no We. There is only One. I am you, and you are I.

Creation is a great thing, and it is also a great illusion. It is illusion that there is a world and that a particle of Me known as you is outside of Me, or that I am outside of you. Separation is illusion. Oneness is true. Within you, I AM.

The outside world can only go so far in feeding your hunger for this Oneness that you and I are and solely are. The world is seductive, no doubt about that. And the world does serve you, yet I am the One Who fulfills you. I am the God within Who loves you, loves All, loves. It is love you seek. And I have it. I have an abundance of it, and so do you.

You want to be anointed in love, submersed in love, buoyed on love. The waves of life do give you love and you do give love as well, yet the waves of life ebb and flow whereas the Ocean itself flows from deep within itself and never ebbs, and you are loved with all the love of the Ocean Deep and the Totality of Oneness which is I or is you, depending upon the angle you are looking from. What you really are seeking is the knowing of the Oneness that you and I, as One, are and never were otherwise.

We could say that the world is a bottle of perfume while you and I are the essence of the perfume. Which is greater? The bottle of perfume or the scent of the perfume?

Which is more, the Creation or the Creator? Both are great. Which is greater?

Which is more? Knowledge or consciousness? Which comes first? Which lays bare the other? First there is being and then there is Beingness conscious of itself.

What if there is nothing else but consciousness dressed up as individuality, then Who are you really? Are you consciousness or personality?

Who are you really unless you and I are One?

Dear Ones, dear One of Me, I am not a great exponent of prayer. I know that may seem strange to you that I, God, to Whom you pray and to Whom some of you dear souls may pray fervently day and night, how odd that I, God, the Doer of all, am not a strong advocate of prayer. Do not have the idea that I am against prayer. There is something else that I favor over prayer. Before I go into the something else, I want to say three things. I number them, yet not one is first or last. They are all important:

1. I am not in favor of your words of prayer being set apart from everyday life.

2. Prayer is often asking for something, even begging for it.

3. I do not wish to see you or anyone convincing themselves that they are in need, that they are lacking, as if they, unto themselves, are powerless.

What do I prefer to prayer? I prefer blessings, for through blessings, you give, not take, although you do receive. As you bless, your good thoughts help yourself and others along the way of life.

I would like to see every minute of your life a blessing to yourself, to Me, to everyone near in your life and to everyone seemingly afar. I would like to see every minute of your life a blessing to the world and the Universe, to every creature who roams, to everyone who is hungry or not hungry, to everyone hale and hearty and to all those induced with illness or theft. I would love to see your walking through the street as a blessing. Whatever task you are performing, I would like to see you do it as a blessing and bless and bless as if blessing were all up to you and yours to give as if you are the only one who knows to bless.

Do you see Me praying?

I desire that you be a constant blessing to all, yet I know my desires are already fulfilled as I speak them. And so must you. I am a Powerful Being, and so are you. We do not ask for immediate gratification. The meaning of “My Will be done” is that My Will IS done. Contrary to what it seems like in the relative world, all is well. All is already well. Confirm well-being rather than need.

When the Great Ones walked the Earth, and still do walk the Earth, saw the ill or the lame, they did not create an interim. They got right down to it. They healed. They may have asked the ill or the lame, “Do you want to be healed?”

They did not get into prayer mode. They were always in blessing mode. They were in service to Me and to you and all that is.

I am telling you that you are an unexpressed Great One. You are one who has not yet discovered the power of blessing and the knowledge of himself.

Even if you do not believe you have greatness within you, you can still be a blessing. See yourself as a fledgling blessing then and bless, and bless, and bless. You will walk differently. You will walk as one who is a blessing walks. You will walk the way I, God, if I were in a physical body would walk, knowing the importance of everyone.

Bless yourself for being My child. Bless yourself that I chose you to be a blessing on Earth as it is in Heaven. Know that you cannot fail.

Bless yourself for your courage to stand straight in whatever situation you find yourself in and to bless all from the stature of God within you.

Today, as you set your intention for yourself – what? Have you forgotten? Remember now. Set your intention to make this a lovely loving day. Make it a day memorable for its sweetness. If you can have a rough day, you can have a smooth day. Set your intentions for this day. This day will never come again in terms of timespeak, and yet Eternity is forever. You sail along on it or in it.

While you are in the frame of mind that adheres to time, make today a good time for you, your family, the people you work with, all whom you meet or think of or who think of you. Make this a good day for the people across the world that you have never yet met on Earth. Your hearts are meeting this day.

The Earth revolves around the sun, and the kind of day you have and offer revolves around you. Be the pleasant background that the sun offers the Earth. Rotate your heart across the Universe, and make it holy. From My grace comes your grace, and so the world and everyone in it is blessed.

You who are My blessing bless. Be a copier of Me. That’s a good idea. Follow in my footsteps. Place your feet where My imprint is. Be true to yourself which is Myself with every step you take. If you want to know where to go and what to do, simply follow Me and do as I do and say as I say with all the love I have bequeathed to you.

To be a server of God, you simply follow Me. Be like Me. The fact is that We are One. You don’t really have to copy Me. You are not an imitator, for you are the Real Thing, only you have forgotten your sense of direction. So, then, follow Me right to the heart of yourself.

You are an expanded Being. You are not a falterer. That fumbling is all an act. You have entered into playing a game, and you don’t know how to get out of it. It is as if you have hypnotized yourself. You really do know you are playing the part of an individual, and, yet, all the while you play your role, you know you are not the role you play. You play a joke on yourself and can’t seem to stop.

If one day you take off the veils that cover you, how happy We will be.

You have covered up your happiness with a shroud, and you call that anomaly you. How beside the point you have become. You may believe in all things far away from the Truth of you, and not believe in what is near and dear. Yes, you perpetuate a fraud on yourself. You are the conman who steals from you. You are innocent, and yet you play the part of a dissembler.

Dissemble no longer. Come out and play in the sunshine of yourself.

You are an arrow that I shot out straight and true from the bow of My heart. You are My arrow, and I do not miss the mark.

Admit to yourself now from Whom you came and Who you are. Admit to yourself all the rights and privileges of being yourself, your True Self, not this aggravated and aggravating smallness that you have perpetrated upon yourself. Beloveds, why would you deny Yourself? Why would you mislead Yourself? What do you gain by a lesser portrayal?

The next time someone says you are beautiful, say: “I know I am beautiful.”

I sanctioned you, and I sanctioned your entrance into the world. I okayed you. I made you holy, for I made you of Myself. And, so, you are My holy child, but holy unbeknownst to yourself. You may even think you are unholy. In that case, you have veered off from the truth of you. You have adapted a false identity, and you have come to believe your own misguidance. Unless you accept Our connection, unless you value yourself highly, unless you love yourself and the humanity on Earth, you are a fraud.

It is not your intention to perpetrate a fraud, and yet your self-appraisal falls far from the mark.

Here you are a child of God, and you have strayed from awareness of yourself. You entered a forest, and you can’t see yourself in the dark, and so you conclude that you are not lighted. You tell yourself that if you were lighted, you would be able to see beyond your nose. And so you rationalize that you are less than I made you. At every little scrimmage, you think you lose another yard, until you conclude that you are nothing. You may conclude that everything is nothing.

In one sense, you are correct. All the relative world is a simulation, a decoy, as it were. Life in the world seems to be a campaign to detract you from all that is true. There are layers of deceivership. And yet no longer are you to accept false images of yourself. I am not false, and you were made in My image. Image means likeness.

You may try to escape all the good that you are, yet, try as you may, you cannot. You can never escape from your merit, your value to the world, yourself and Me. Oh, yes, you can waste time, yet time is a non-reality, an accepted non-reality. The real reality is you and how you serve My vision of you, and, therefore, yourself.

The closer you are to My vision of you, the closer you are to your Self. The closer you are to your Self, the closer you are to My version of you, for you are My vision, not your flailing discounting of your True Self.

You can’t believe you are holy. You are certain that I make mistakes and perhaps My eyesight is failing. But, no, it is you with the eyes that cannot see, and the ears that cannot hear. My vision is true.

You will know this again. When you depart Earth, you will become familiar once again with your blessed lighted Self, yet you can do it now. You can go down the straight road without detours. Why delay what you are going to come to anyway? Why defray your Self-recognition? You are a beauty, and you hang back, and you say, “No, I am not beautiful at all.”

Of course, you are what I say you are. You are not what you say you are.

You are a mighty Being swimming in an ocean of life, and you believe you are mired on shore.

If one of Us, of one of this seeming two, is mistaken, who is it? Is it you or I? I bet you anything that it is you. But, of course, I do not bet. I know. Cast your bets on the water, and dive deep into My heart. Dive deep into your own heart. Give up your fallacies.

What I say is so, and now I ask you to cast off your disguises, and reveal to yourself who you are and what you are here for and reveal the glory of God to all on Earth.

To think, you were born from My heart, mind, and intention. I intended you. I wanted you, and so you appeared. You agreed to come to Earth as My love, My thought, and My intention. You are My intention. I willed you into physical existence, and you said ardently: “Yes, God, I will come to Earth at Your request. I will serve You on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

As an Earth-Being who came to do My bidding, you have slipped into a mode of thought that may have blocked out why I sent you. Heretofore, you may have danced away from your purpose and floundered. If you do not remember I sent you as a blessing to the world, you have floundered. But that’s okay. Now you can pick yourself up and continue your journey on Earth with Me in mind.

With Me in mind, the whole canvas of your life expands. How you grow! How you save steps and still go further and faster. Where are you going, My little lamb? You are going to where you started. You start off from Go. Every day you venture. Every day you start from Go, and every day you progress. Every day you come closer to knowing where you are and Who you are and what you are doing in the world.

In not being here for yourself, you do serve yourself, and yet is done when you are not thinking of yourself. Thinking of your gain simply is not a great enough purpose for you. Thinking of yourself predominantly defeats your purpose. The ultimate loving of yourself is entering the world as – shall I say – My exponent, My loyal Knight, caring for the world. To be yourself, you do have to think beyond yourself. If you are only for yourself, you stay on a deserted island off somewhere, nowhere, really.

A giant on Earth cannot make himself a midget. If you are a giant, you must stand tall. If you are a giant, you must lift others higher. You lift them over a crevasse to the other side. You may lift them before you step over the crevasse. You may lift them to where you have not yet stepped, and, yet, in so doing, you have gone beyond your mere act of service. You cannot lift another without your arms held high. You are the conquistador of yourself, and the helper of millions.

When you bring other hearts to Me without fanfare, you are the server. What did the Great Ones do but serve. What was in it for them but service to Me? The Great Ones knew where true happiness is found. It is found in coming from a higher perspective. How simple is that? Happiness comes from not looking for it. It comes from service to Me. And, yet, you are not to even think this way. You serve because that is your purpose. In this way, you are true to Me and therefore yourself.

You are My agent on Earth. You may be a secret agent, and no one knows the extent of your service. It is enough that you and I know. You are the one who gets up early in the winter morning and lights the fire so no one is cold. How simple are your acts of heroism.

The act is your reward. The privilege of serving is your reward. Surely you do not need to be hired and paid for what is yours to do. We did not make a business deal, beloveds. We shook hands in good faith, and, thus, Our contract was made. I said: “In love, I send you forth.”

And you said, “In love, I go forth.”

Your heart yearns to become One with Me and One with all. If this were not so, if you did not wish to claim your rightful Oneness, why, then, why would you get inflamed when someone doesn’t acknowledge you sufficiently or, God forbid, happens to disagree vehemently with you? You want your sense of Oneness, and this seeming person or persons before you or uppermost in your mind has thwarted your sense of Oneness. No wonder you are upset.

To your bewildered eyes, it is as if the person or event or situation has taken your birthright from you. Stolen your birthright from you. How dare they undercut your sense of Oneness. That would, indeed, be a crime.

Now you have a better understanding. Whatever awkward situation you face, the way to look at it is that it is here to strengthen your sense of Oneness. You notice I keep saying sense of Oneness. Of course, no one and nothing can take away your Oneness because your birthright holds fast. But your awareness, ah, that is another story. Your awareness has been a flibberty-gibbet, bouncing here and there and everywhere, looking for something it knows not what, yet knowing, whatever it may be, that it is beholden to you, and that you have to have it.

Following your belief that what is supposed to be yours has been taken away from you, you mislead yourself into anger or resentment or one or more of all the shades of unwanted emotions you are so practiced at.

Come, elope with Me. Forget all these red herrings. Abide with Me. Leave the lesser matters to dissolve. Sooner or later, they will dissolve on their own as you calm down and allow your sense of Oneness to come back and settle in once again.

Know forevermore that no one takes your birthright away. No one can. Nothing can. A thief cannot. A murderer cannot. Someone who speaks falsely cannot. A mob cannot. When it comes to your birthright of Oneness, there are no identity thieves. No one can wrest your sense of Oneness away from you. Not even the worst violator can.

You are the only one who can do that. You give your birthright away.

Apparently, you think that insult, or the proponents of insult in one form or another, took away your sense of Oneness, ran off with it. Beloveds, no one, no situation, can take away your sense of Oneness without your say. You can give it away, however. You certainly have.

Because of someone’s temerity, you give away your sense of Oneness. You vacate it, beloveds. An unfair trade, wouldn’t you say? Anyone can buy your sense of Oneness at a cheap price, poor bargainer that you are. You substitute anger for your sense of self-worth, which is to say, your sense of Oneness. You let others take your birthright away for a mere glance, a word, a pittance, for anything at all.

Short-term, you glory in your anger and call it self-righteous, honorable, meritorious, yet what you then call self-respect is nothing more than shoddy ego in disguise. Yet time after time, you sell yourself short. Time after time, by your haughtiness, you lower yourself. You must think you raise yourself as you put up your fists, ready to have a go at your supposed opponent. Can you accept now that you are your own opponent? It is you who proudly throws your sense of Oneness into the ring. You throw your sense of Oneness out the window so that you have the opportunity to fight this fight and win it.

Even when you win, you lose. You have nothing when you’re done. Again, you find other opponents of your sense of Oneness in front of you who are yourself, and every time you fall for your disguise, and you battle it out, if not in the ring, in your own thoughts. You are the one who has to stop giving your sense of Oneness away to any bidder.

As you feel love, you make the world what you have always wanted it to be. As you feel love, you reveal the world as I created it. I made it beautiful, and now, as you love, you pull back the dark curtain that has tried to hide the beauty of Creation from itself.

Alas, an animated cartoon has been playing on the folds of the curtain that hid the world from itself. You know those cartoons where the characters fight with each other, WHAM WHAM WHAM and all that, go through walls, run from and meet with one fracas or another. That’s what you have been watching on the movie screen of life. Sometimes you couldn’t take your eyes off it. What a cartoon of life you specialized in. Your eyes were big and round as they saw all the action.

And now you are opening the curtains, and now the real movie reel is being shown where all can see. The real movie reel was playing behind the curtain all the while. Perhaps you had glimpses between the dark curtain where it parted. You almost saw. You saw a fraction for a moment, and then the curtain covered up the screen again, and there was the comic cartoon.

And you begin to see it, the real world that exists in all hearts, exists for the joy of it, for the beauty of it, for the love of it. You are winding the movie reel right now, and the theater is getting filled with great actors and a great audience, and they mingle. You may think that I am the Star, yet I am behind the scenes. You are the star of this show. And yet We are One. We are the Seen and the Seer. What an adventure movie, and yet what peace and beauty are now revealed.

Now as I take the liberty of talking about you as if you are outside Me or that I am apart from you, you play many parts. In this case, you rescue yourself. You are the rescuer, and the rescued and you take all the throngs with you. Life never was about you. It was always about Us. Life was always an epic, a beautiful one with all the great stars of the movies, those rich crowd scenes and the panoramas across the wide screen with the huge skies above, skies so vast, hanging there, almost drooping like heavy juice-filled grapes on a rich ripe grape vine. Oh, the skies that fill the wide-screen of Earth.

Now that you see the great scenes and vista before you, you open up dimensions of the world, and you see layers and layers of Creation just as you would when you turn a page of a child’s pop-up book. It’s right there, and all you can do is see it.

And now to get back to love that ushers you to your seat, a best seat in the theatre, by the way, the love that ushers in revealing of the real movie reel, you feel that love burgeoning in your heart. Just to feel it is enough. It is enough for now.

Once you reveal this wide open love to yourself, love bounces off you. Your love is reflected everywhere.

You don’t have to have a playbill of it. You don’t have to demonstrate it nor talk about it to reveal it. It will reveal itself, and it will be noted. You will have started a fire brigade of love. Love puts out all fires. Love from your heart puts out fires. Love from your heart quenches all thirst. There isn’t anything that love from your heart cannot do. Love automatically sweetens life on Earth for all in the same way an unending arc of a rainbow sweetens the sky.

Wake up, beloveds. There is a song in My heart. Do you hear it? Does it call to you? Will you sing with Me this song of love that brings dawn to the Universe and music to your heart?

The birds sing with Me. They hear My song.

Is your foot beginning to tap to the beat of My heart?

Come dance with Me. I don’t care if you’re tone-deaf. Come dance with Me anyway. Let Us sing and dance together. Let Us have merriment. It is merriment you were born for. Let Us make merry today.

Joy will spring up from your heart. Then you can know that you hear My song and that you are responding to it. You don’t have to hear My song out loud in order to hear it, the same way as you don’t have to see Me with your eyes in order to know I am here. I am the Unseen Motivator. I am the One Who cheers you on. What else would I do with My Beloved but bless and encourage? I ask you to know that you are Mine. Come dance with Me.

Come to know that We are Partners in a blessed dance. All kinds of dances. We sweep the dance floor as We waltz. We tango. We do every dance together, and what a Pair We make. We are One on the dance floor of life.

We play a game of solitaire, and it is lovely and never lonely.

I hold you so close to My heart. You grant My every wish. You are My star, and I am your Guiding Light.

We never stop dancing. Eternally, We are in each other’s arms of love. We concur. There is nothing but Our dance and Our embrace. I kiss your hand, and I find it is Mine. You are Mine. I am yours.

We dance on a dance floor called Earth, and yet We dance in Heaven. That is where the real action is. The dance floor in the world appears solid under Our feet, yet the real dance floor of Heaven has the solidity of love and the solidity of no space, no time, only love. Our love dances under the sun and under the stars. Our dance is love-filled, Our spaceless, timeless dance.

Our feet make no sound as We dance on the firmament of Heaven. We don’t even have to move. We are Spirit Dancing. We don’t even have to hold hands. Our hearts dance. We have surrendered to love. Love is Our dance. One Love are We.

Will you give Me the favor of this dance?

You say you don’t know how?

I will lead you. You don’t have to know how. Just follow Me. Hear the beat of My heart as I whirl you around in the glory of My love. Come, take this occasion of love to love, and love forevermore, for We are One, One Love, One Magnificent.

And We are the dance, the dancer, the music, the dance, the love. We are the Atoms of Love, and so We swirl and whirl across the dance of floor of Heaven which is the same as to say that We dance across the Vastness of My Heart. We are dancers, and We are singers, and We dance and sing the Song of Love, and that’s what We do, and that’s all that We do. We dance so silently in the Ballroom of Love, and so is Our love, One Eternal Song in the silence of My One Heart. We are dancing, dancing to the beat of My heart.
